Cornus (Dogwoods)
A beautiful group of large shrubs or small trees. They are best grown in the cooler regions. Some varieties produce masses of bracts ("flowers") in early spring before the leaves appear; others are in late spring or summer with the foliage. The flower colours come in a range of pink, white or creamy-yellow. The deciduous varieties have good autumn colours.
